• Read and interpret blueprints/drawings or color schedules to determine the specifications and materials required for a project are correct.

• Walk on and work around rough terrain to perform the rigorous work task of lifting and aligning ledge stone, stone veneer pieces for extended periods during inclement weather.

​

• Set and verify the vertical and horizontal alignment of structures using straightedges, levels (regular & laser) tape measures and staked lines in laying out a foundation or wall pattern.

​

• Mix specified or premixed proportions of cement, sand and water to obtain mortar and grout used in fusing stone veneer pieces together.

​

• Construct and install prefabricated stone veneers/cement units for building cladding/veneers.

​

• Lay and align stone veneers/ledge stone pieces according to construction plans and specifications.

​

• Apply and spread mortar on slabs/vertical surfaces using a trowel.

​

• Cut, shape, and smoothen stone veneer/ledge stone materials using dustless saw and 4” power grinders.

​

• Position construction forms or mold along the guidelines of walls when necessary.

​

• Use tucker point to smoothen mortar in order to achieve an attractive finish.

​

• Replace defective or missing stone veneer units on exterior walls of buildings.

​

• Carry out repairs on cracked or chipped stone veneers or ledge/stacked stone.

​

• Clean the surface of ledge/stacked stone veneers using sponge, brush, water or chemical solution.

​

• Clean tools, equipment and work area daily.  Participate in team housekeeping of your work area.

​

• Collaborate with other construction professionals, such as superintendents other subcontractor's foreman to ensure project specifications and timelines are met.

​

• Direct/manage your tender/helper to be proactive and plan for upcoming tasks.

​

• Documentation – take pictures of job site conditions existing, work performed beginning, during & after.

​

• File daily reports electronically.
